from what I read it can't do much of anything, you need an aftermarket tuner

Has anyone found out yet whether the Bullitt heat shield will cleanly mate up to any of the existing CAIs? I love the heat shield but don't want the S bend in my CAI.

I think we would of heard about that by now since I think most people would want that heat shield over the crap they give you with the others.

How about this one?

Although it definitely has the S bend issue, it looks like a much nicer piece than the bullitt tube.

Here's mine. I love the oem fit and finish of this intake. I removed a brand new C&L racer intake for this. I don't care about losing a few HP as long as it fits well and it's hard to fit better than factory.

I did the same. But I'm using Doug's tune instead of Ford's. Also my ford racing logo is colored and I see some are not.

Where did you get the bolt for the front hole the one that holds the ABS system bracket? The one in the car stock is too short to go though both the intake and the bracket.

I swapped it with one of the bolts that holds the filter element in. I am also using Dougs tune. This is the intake that was used in this thread. I bought it from him.

I love my Bullitt intake. I had to use the stock intake hose because I bought the CAI off of ebay and it didn't come with the larger hose. With only mufflers, bullitt CAI, and 87 tune my 06 made 288HP on the dyno.

Dragging this up again, Starfire and JoeGTS, where did you get your Bullitt intake and did it come with the Ford tune and tuner?

the oem Bullitt intakes do not have the painted for logo and have the 2 noise reducers in the intake tube.. The FRPP 'bullitt' intake has the painted logo and NO noise reducers. Look close at the intakes without the painted logo and you will see 2 large 'boxes' under the intake tube. herws mine. Note no intake noise reducers. Not that it needs it. Its a quiet intake

Yeah I took mine off (noise things) and plugged the holes, and can't tell any difference in sound. Actually I'll be selling mine shortly since I'm getting the Saleen extreme intake with my SC, too bad I just bought the KN filter for mine too.

Brenspeed said they could have tuned the SC for the intake, but because of the smaller MAF housing I might not get max performance with the SC so I upgraded to the extreme intake since I don't like the metal steeda/Ford Racing one.

Should be in the next couple weeks that I sell it, SC goes on in 1 week (WOOHOO!)

And for where I got it, I got mine from I bought it here used (it was like new) and I use a Tillman tune.

^ If you already have the factory bullitt tune still on your car then just swapping for a new bullitt intake will not alter anything.
Those 2 baffles are just there for sound and not performance.

An aftermarket tune can give you more than the factory bullitt tune as well (I'm sure you already know that).
I have the FRPP bullitt intake on my car and a 91 race tune from Bama and it is definitely a difference you can feel.

2007S197 is right... Same intake besides the baffles and it requires the same tune.
