07 MUSTANG GT water sender location exact

First of all I have searched all over the place and all I can find is it is the last freeze plug on the drivers side, does anyone have a detailed description of where that is or a picture, I really would rather not have to drill and tap the passengers side. thank you

There is none. Coolant temperature is calculated by using the cylinder head temperature (CHT) sensor

I think he's asking for the threaded water jacket plug that can be removed and replaced with the autometer adapter.

Look below the last freeze plug on the driver's side. There is a plug with an allen (hex) insert. This can be replaced with autometer part #2268, which is threaded 16mm x 1.5 and will take a 1/8 npt fitting (I got mine from Summit Racing). Don't forget to use the copper crush ring that comes with the adapter.

Oh, and a ton of coolant will come out and no matter how you try to avoid it, you will get a shower. Or so I've heard...

Yes that low in the system you WILL get a shower. Try to drain the radiator first so you can minimize this.
Also there is a MUCH easier alternative. In this alternative place the readings won't be as accurate but you can still tell exactly what's happening with the cooling system.
I removed the plug that is in the coolant crossover passage between the heads at the front of the motor.
Drilled and tapped for 1/8" NPT and installed the sender there.
I also filed flat two sides of the plug so I could get a wrench on it.
I realize this may not be as accurate as possible but I tested it by connecting an LED to my electric fan. The fan comes on and goes off within 2 - 3 degrees of what I set it for using my DS Predator.
