Term's are awesome if you don't mind two things:
1) The old body / interior platform. I had an '03 GT and an '04 Mach and could never get used to the seating position. Even my '92 is more comfortable.
2) The clutch- the clutch in the Term is pretty dang hard- not bad for cruising or interstate driving, but around town it can be a killer.
GOOD LUCK THOUGH MAN, DO WHAT YOU THINK IS BEST AND HAVE FUN WITH IT!!!

Good choice!!! I am selling my 06 so I can get back into a Terminator. I dont know what everyone else is talking about, I love the interior of the SN-95, and never had any complaints with the seats. There are just TOO many 05+ Mustangs on the road. They've lost their appeal to me.

Owned an '03 Cobra for two years. Although the performance was awesome, I never liked the body style that much. As for the interior, I could never get comfortable -- even with the eight-way power seat, I could not find a position that suited me. And the center console glovebox was too low -- couldn't use it as an armrest like many other cars I've owned. Then the location of the shifter.. It's way too far forward. I oftentimes skinned my knuckles on the stereo controls shifting into third..... Yeah, and the clutch was very stiff.
Everyone seems to mod these cars but I never did. It was not a temptation because, overall, I really didn't like the car that much.... When I sold it in 2006, it was bone stock.

I told myself I would only do this if the right car came along and it did. I don't want to jinx things, so I will be brief. I am picking up a unmolested Terminator in a rare color (that I like), and satisfied with the numbers.
It is not all about hp, but something makes me tingle inside knowing that a JLT/Catback/tune will put me in the 420rwhp range under warranty....

I had 3 terminators......and now a GT500 with a KB. I wish I had kept one of the Termies and put the KB on it. Mean looking, slightly smaller, very nimble handler with the IRS and best of all.....with the strong internals, you can throw a 2.93/2.80/2.76 pulley and have a ton of fun and almost 500 HP for about a grand! Try that in a new body style Mustang GT!!

Just happend across this post. Did you end up buying the Terminator?
I seriously love those cars. If anything happens to my 07GT, I'd get one in a heartbeat. Low 12's with minimal mods........what's not to like?
