I posted a few months ago when I raced an '02 or '03 Z06. I came real close to taking him. With a few more mods, it's a driver's race.

This should probably be moved to the "which is better" section.

personally I would not waste my time with a Z06...I have driven one several times and they would easily toss us away.Gotta understand those limitations =)..but on the other hand I wouldn't spend upwards of 65+ for a Z06 either =(

A C-6 Z06 would toss us like a salad, but an '02-'03 C-5 Z06 isn't that far away. With my current mods, plus headers and 4.10 gears down the line, it would be a close race.

Speed is just a matter of money, how fast do you want to go? I'm sure an 05 Stang could beat a stock z06 w/ the right mods, even without forced induction.

I personally don't mind vettes. North American V8's are okay in my book I just don't have that kinda cash, simple as that.

Also, for the cost, I hope they can beat us.

No way unless the driver is sleeping. My friend had an 04 Z06 and we raced from a 60 run. It wasn't even close. I am not stock either; a S/Cer is the only way of taking them down.

A stock C5 Z06 puts out 405 hp and 400 lb-ft. @ 3118 lbs. It's stock 0-60 is around 4.4 seconds with a 1/4 mile of 12.7 @ 115 mph. It is no contest. Also, the MSRP on them started at $51, 435. This is for a 2003.
