Didn't know if anyone else thought the lower grille on the new body was as ugly as i do, but there is a simple solution
-The grille removes easily...all you have to do is pull slightly at the corners and it comes right out.
-When I pulled the grille out all I did was cut out the plastic backing that was behind the "honey comb" on the grille w/ an exacto knife....to me it looks alot better...probably even better on a vehicle that isn't black...b/c the bumper is already painted behind the grill.
Haven't noticed it done to anyone elses 05...not a big mod, but "to me" still an improvement.
I know the saleen has a completely different frt bumper, but they obviously thought the lower grill had to go too.

here it is, only takes about 10 minutes....to me it looks cleaner, but I think it would look even better on a differenct color car other than black....you can decide for your self

AFTER
finished product
for instance if you have a red/blue car you'll have a red / blue lower grille

yeah, i agree this is a low pic, just trying to give a good before and after
i would take another pic from standing up, but it's getting dark outside and you wouldn't be able to see anything

I know Steeda played with the idea of turning this area body color. It was later changed, as I think you will agree, it just doesn't look right either.

I like it without the honeycomb inserts. I will probably remove mine and use the openings for brake cooling ducts.

I know what it needs.......an INTERCOOLER! Oh, and maybe a turbo or supercharger to make it all balance out. LOL! Looks good either way to me. Way to be creative.

i'm in the process of using the outter ducts for something myself.....not sure what yet, but still looks better to me than a fake plastic honey comb grille....thinking about running induction to my twin turbos....haven't decided for sure yet.

I was actually tossing the idea of taking mine out too. I am getting my stripes on today. Maybe tomorrow, I'll see how it looks without. Glad to see it's easy to remove and replace!
