Well last night I met up with some friends that have a 88 and a 92 5.0. Both have modified their cars out the ying yang so we went to a back road to do some "tests". Just like the other guy, their cars both were nuts in 2nd gear. Both cars had 3:73 gears. My car, stayed planted and yes, Traction control was off. So we all lined up and off we went. I pulled a head a little bit and my guess was because of the shift into 2nd. I stay planted and both of them spun for a bit. I know one of the cars was dyno'd at 310 rwhp so I am glad I can at least run with the big boys

NOS is a name brand not a power adder.
well sorta... NOS is both the product (nitrous oxside "NOS"), and a name brand for a manutacture of nitrous oxside kits.

NOS stands for nitrous oxide systems

N2O is the molecular structure of nitrous oxide, like H2O is to water

NOS doesnt stand for nitrous oxide

Curious to know...have your freinds been thinking about trading up to the 05 now that they have seen yours? My dealer has had alot of guys with fairly new stangs trade in to an 05. He just took an an 04 Cobra on Thursday in trade for one. He called me thinking I may want to look at it....no TY I told him I want my 05. But were your freinds surprised at how well yours ran mostly stock against their beefed ones?

Well until they saw mine they had no plans on buying a new stang. After last night one of them decided he is going to sell his, buy a redfire and asked if I would stripe it just like mine.

Its Nitrous Oxide, the abbreviation for it is n20 not NOS. There is no "s" in oxide.

NOS is only a name brand, its acronym stands for the company's name "Nitrous Oxide Systems".

he's right, Nitrous Oxide = N²O (although the 2 should be a subscript and not a superscript) I know, I know, I'm a :geek:
