Since I won't get my "black sunshine" until April or May, I was wondering what cars you guys have beat at the red lights. While my dad and I took that fake mustang for a test drive that the dealership said was mine, we stopped at a red light when a little white honda civic pulled up beside us and started revving it up trying to show off. I quickly turned the TC off and the light turned green. We left the light and the ricer behind as we took off with the tires screaming. Though we didn't take the fake mustang, the test drive was sure fun. Can't wait 'til May. How many more days until my "Black Sunshine" comes?

when I had the car down here prior to it being taken all apart.

I beat a mach 1, a mid 90's Z-28, of course the occasional ricer (but we don't brag about that) and another '05 at the track (guy couldn't drive... he ran a 14.40 something... I went 13.32@104 w/ 1.8 60")

Quote from somewhere I saw " In order for it to be a race, both parties have to know they are racing". I thought that was a hoot.

Subaru WRX STi, we both knew it was a race because it was my buddy. Best out of 3 and barely smoked him twice. The only other manual I had was my 89 Saab 9000 Twin Turbo. Other than that nothing. I'm not much of a racer. I don't even waste my gas on lawnmower and weedwacker powered hondas and acuras .

1. 2003 Audi S4
2. 200? Honda civic w/ some mods....
3. 2004/2005 Dodge SRT4
4. 199? GMC Sierra.....hahaha

Best one though.....didn't beat it, but kept up to it REAL well! This was a 2003/2004 Mustang SVT. Crusing on the highway at around 80 with the Cobra in front, and I cut over to the right lane to get off my exit (coming up in a bit over a mile). Well, I downshifted to 4th and off I went. The Cobra then floors it and we both go shooting down the freeway getting to nearly 130MPH.....whew!! Never been that fast! Well to my surprise.....the 05 GT kept up to the Cobra pretty darn good!! He got off the same exit and when we came to the light he gave me a thumbs up and a big smile. It was such a rush!

He forgot to shift down, or didn't shift down enough. If you think I am kidding with you, or making fun of you -- please understand that I am not. I just speak from experience, on both sides of that race. The torque band on the Cobra makes it very easy to forget about changing gears to get more power... because you really don't need to in most situations. I have to keep that little detail in mind when I switch back and forth between my two Mustangs, because they drive so differently.

I love hearing the V6 kicking ricer butt (made it clean) The cars sound just as annoying as the drivers who drive them. I test drove a v6 manual and this dude in a eclipse was trying to mess with me so of course I had to respond and I left him and his annoying car in the dust.

Well, of course you beat the Scion. It's a fast car, but it would be a much more even race between it and the v6. I'm happy with it.

I totally agree with you, but thought with my SCT tune and MMR intake that this could make a lot of difference. He may not have shifted down, however when we got on it and passed 95-100, I was in 5th too. Don't really know....but it sure was fun!
