Uh Oh! Dilemma!
uh oh... major dillemma... i have a choice... should i go newer and get a
1999 Cobra that I just found today with pro 5.0 shifter, Bassani X pipe, Flow Master Mufflers, Urathane trans mount, K-N Air Filter, Handling springs, New Z-rated Goodyear tires with 03 Cobra rims, Subframe connectors

a 1991 LX 5.0 with 4 wheel disk brakes, engine bored over 0.03, Forged Steel Pistons, Roller Rockers, Heads Are Ported And Polished, Under drive pulleys, 75mm throttle, BBK Headers, 24 pound injectors, off-road h pipe, flowmaster exhaust?
without the cost comparison, which is the best bet for a college student that will drive it everyday, so gas saving should be somewhat of an option, but would want an easy upgradeable car to get ballsier..? help me out! ahh! thanks!

Well it comes down to preference really. Also, is the overall shape of the two cars comparable. Unless you are drag racing I would say go with the Cobra. With being more up to date you are somewhat less likely to have problems with key parts then you would the 1991. Also, I would think the paint and interior would be in better shape, though thats not always the case. One other thing to keep in mind is the resale value as well. If you go to resell this car in a year or two the Cobra will be most likely worth more -- though with 120,000 mi I'd say both will be deflated quite a bit.

Oh one other thing the 91 would probably be cheaper to mod, but the modular motors have a ton of aftermarket support as well and should for years to come.
And I dunno if this is a factor or not but more chicks will dig you in the Cobra!

Cobra for sure. I love the fox bodied mustangs of the early 90's, but the cobra would be a better choice, IMO. The lx would be nice, but as said, chances are it has been beaten considering the mods, so watch out. Good luck, and pot pics as soon as you buy one.
