mr-mstng,

Thats a really good price. I think I'm gonna wait until later in the year and then they should be a little cheaper at the dealers around here in East Tennessee.
i dont see how they can get any cheeper than what they are now

What I meant was when the 05's come out for sale in August, the dealers will problably lower the price on the 04's a little just to get them off the lots to make room for the 05's.

That is possible, I suppose. But there is only so much they can lower before they start losing money, unless Ford pays them to move it. More then likely, the price won't lower much more, but the 05's won't be dis****ed at all. So, they'll move people to the older model that balk at the higher price.

They surely won't go up, so there is no real harm in waiting, I don't think.

They have at least seven 04 Mach's at dealer's within 10 miles of me here. I had the thought of getting one, especially for as cheap as they're selling them for. Out of those seven there's 2 yellow,3 orange,1 black and 1 grey one. I'm gonna be patient though and just wait for the new design...I'd regret it if I didn't

Well,I hear depending where you live you have the 3k rebate. The Mach's here in NE Ohio are stickered around 29-30k.The local dealer here said he could get me one for around 24k. Granted this is just him talking to me on the phone and pretty much saying whatever he can to get me to come in.He claims he may be able to even do a little better.

also the new 05's seem really feminine and old if you ask me. i think ford targeted our senior citizen base.
I went through this whole agonizing thing in 02.

Thought that the design was too girly with the cab forward design.

Bought an 02 v6 coup. :bang: Found that I craved more power. :worship:

Bought an 03 Centennial Edition Convertible

If I hit the lottery, I would keep this car!!

I also got 7000 off the sticker to get it off the lot.

Just picked up an 03 GT convert...I was was trying to decide on this car, an 04 or should I wait for the 05....I ended up answering my own question...The 05 vert won't be out till early fall according to the dealer...and could be as much as $7000 more...and there was extra moneys back on the 03...so I took it....and even better for me...my wife refuses to get in it at all....There is a God

I went for the 04, prices are so good on the 04 I couldn't pass then up. I really wanted an 05.. I could taste it but when I saw the prices that the dealers were offering on the 04's I couldn't pass it up. I picked up mine for 24,500 out the door. For Long Island thats pretty good, usually there is very little movement on convertables.

I know the 04 is a dinousaur when it comes to technology and performance, but I'm not gonna be racing.... too much at least . and I'd rather have the Mustang now, pay less rather then wait and pay through the nose for the new body style. Cause you know your gonna pay MSRP for the 05's.

I also figured that I would probably like the second generation of the new body style, going on the logic I like the 99+ better than the 94-98's.

Plus most likley your financial situation will improve over time and then you can get an '07.

just my opinion.

Guys the truth is, this is really just a "duh or duh" type of question. There is one answer....

which one which you rather have?
