I got a little story pertaining to this. So, I have this pretty hardcore ricer buddy who was always telling me about how amazing the Honda's he's owned were, and how fast he can make a 4-banger go, and all sorts of smack again American Iron. I usually just let it go and listened to him talk. Fast forward to a couple of weeks ago. We happened to have nothing to do, so I told him I was going to show him what a V8 Mustang can do. Loaded my 93 race tune, drove out to a deserted road, and completely nailed it from 0 to about ~90-100mph. Slow down and turn around, look at him, he says "****, I didn't know Mustangs could go that fast." He doesn't really talk too much rice anymore. I tell him I can respect the imports that have nuts behind the grille, but the attitude that so many of them bring to the table is such bull ****.

I actually feel like I lost IQ points reading that thread. 300 HP in a light car and they can only hit 13's man that is sad. The dude talking about the 03/04 cobras being 13 second cars and that the "SVT version" was slightly faster really cracked me up.

A. Can't afford Mustang
B. Cant afford to insure Mustang

Well, I think I have run a 14 second pass once...and that was when I smoked the tires on the line in first gear!! All other passes have been in the 13's. It's amazing how they think they know so much about cars, yet refer to the Cobra as slow....and the SVT a little faster. Wow.
