Saleen, Roush, others?
#1
Okay my friends and I were having a discussion today and since I am known as the Mustang guy I am supposed to know everything. Well, we began to talk about the special Mustangs like Saleen and Roush and others I'm not thinking of. So all this means we are curious as to which "special" type of Mustang is the best, performance wise. Thanks in advance.

Comparison of Roush Stage 3 and Saleen S281 SC.
E is about 10 grand more than S3, and has built motor, not really fair comparison.
Which one is the best? All a matter of opinion--- I have a Roush, but it has a Series 4 S/C, so go figure.
This is my hello to the Board BTW.

yeah cobra is the best bang for the buck around. but they make 10,000+ a year so if you like having an exclusive vehicle then go with a saleen or roush. otherwise get a cobra and spend the extra 10,000+ on some go fast goodies but i believe MM&FF tested both and the roush was a little quicker

The Roush is quicker, but more expensive. At Town & Country Ford there is a $43,000 Roush Stage 2 (no supercharger) convertible next to a $43,000 supercharged MystiChrome Cobra convertible. It's a no-brainer.

The 281E has the advantage on performance (for $65K, it should) and on the bling-bling department they are tops.
Roush has better quailty all around on their finished products.
But at $35-43, the Cobra is the better buy.

At that point you have exclusive and fast in one package

I kind of favor the Saleens (see profile ),
but If you want to go very, very, fast--buy a Cobra and send it to Sean Hyland Motorsports.
