You need to take #1 out of this discussion if you're looking to spend 50k.
Having said that if i was you i would try and find a low milage 08-09 z06 and get that, if you think that base c6 threw you back in the seat you need to check out the z06. |

If your a stang guy their is only 1 answer the gt500, maybe 2 2011 gt. It's still your call. To me nothing special about a vette.

If you have kids or anticipate needing to move more than two people, pick the Mustang. Otherwise, the Corvette is a good choice. Both cars rock.
But if you pick the Corvette, ORDER IT AND GET MUSEUM DELIVERY. You can even elect to go to BG and follow your car down the line as it is built. GM will take pictures and everything. Do that. It's once in a lifetime. |

Wow. This thread (or more appropriately the responses) = FAIL.
Bull, I'd go w/ the GT500. The reason why is that's what I'd be more proud to own. I couldn't care less about what other people think of me when I'm driving or getting out of the car, I want the car that I get the most enjoyment out of and F everyone else. Corvette's are very nice, but to me they lack personality. The GT500 is just nasty, regardless of performance differences. And 'nasty' sir, is a good thing. |

What surprises me more than anything is that this topic is being spewed across three separate threads now. It is my opinion (based on how I was raised and as a younger member of this form mind you), that you have to be over 50 and have silver hair to own a Corvette. Personally, I think they're beautiful and fun cars but the Mustang does have a more youthful image overall.
