Honestly, I'd advise you to sell your V6, and buy a car with the V8. Unless you already have the engine or something. It's just gonna be a lot of work, and a decent mid 90s GT can be found for under 5 grand...

The problem with that is, I live 30 miles from anywhere and I have no vehicle to get a job. Plus I am recently kicked out and I drive an f350 with the 460. Money is terrible right now. Half tempted to go try to buy a dodge rampage.

Not trying to play life couch or anything.. but it sounds like you've got bigger fish to fry right now than trying to swap a motor in a mustang. Maybe you should sell the truck, and use the money to buy something cheap to run for the time being.

Well the swap I thought I could do and the engine was very cheap. I can't sell the truck bc I need that to get hay for my horse. The engine was 500 dollars. Brand new no miles romeo 4.6 and my sister has an escort... so far worst running vehicle.. ever. That I thought would be cheaper then a new car.

Nosir, that's a pretty expensive thing, puttin' that motor in place of the v6. The transmission, mounts, exhaust, wiring... Just resell that motor.
Oh, yes, the mileage won't be helped, and likely hurt. The performance, yeah, it'd be better, but your wallet will be hurtin' big time.

Are we getting trolled....?
There have been alot of people asking about engine swaps for sn95's lately...
My dad had a late 90's escort that he took near 300k miles, till it couldn't take anymore.

I suppose an escort can be great if taken care of properly. I had a chevy with 468 thousand on the engine and tranny. 1990 silverado with 350 and 700r4 tranny. I just need great gas mileage just like everyone else. U guys have any idea on how much a used 3.8 can cost?
