Mustang GT vs T/A or Firehawk
Drive them both. I suspect you'll settle on the stang. I am certainly no Ford nut, I've never owned one before (OK, a couple of older Cougars which are loosely related). But the '05 is not just a pretty face, the whole package is a breathe of fresh air. It is tight, handles great, fit and finish is excellent; it's truly a modern sports car wrapped in a retro-licious skin. The '02 T/A is old tech from the last era. A good car, but no longer "modern".

I've dreampt about the 05 'Stang for so long...
But suddenly... a 2001/2002 Trans-Am or Firehawk seems like a WOAH car.
Lets compare the 2:
Both cars are HOT to look at. Both look agressive (the T/A even more so). The large doors of the T/A kinda stink, but I think Lambo doors would solve this problem, along with adding a bit of character as long as the rest of the car doesn't get ricey.
Interior feel/quality goes to the Mustang, hands down. Not a fan of the cheap plastic of the GM interiors.
Preformance... the T/A with its 6 speed MT and 350 LS1 (easily modded to over 400HP) wins.
Ride: again to the 'Stang. Rear ends on F-bodies break too easy under heavy strain.
Am I crazy, or what??

Just remember the only hardware after the engine on the Fbody capable of taking 400+ horsies is the tranny. Everything else will break.
Again, thanks for the replies!
I'm sure the 'Stang will come first (unless I find a SUPER deal on a 02 Firehawk or Blackbird. Never know!)
The pony is just such a BETTER car overall. The T/A may look like one MEAN car, like a fire breathing dragon, but the new 'Stangs have everything else going for it... even its own sexy looks!
It would take much more work to bring the T/A "up to code" per see. Espically spicing up that drab GM interior. I'd hate to think how many plastic trees went into making that "leather" interior.
Though the thought of dropping a LS2 down in one (which probably isn't that hard) makes me drool.
Lambo doors... again mainly for functionality. All because of the 'bird's large "wingspan". Can't always prevent the idiots who park too close, no matter what you do.
