Monte Carlo vs 05'+ Mustang (v6)
We'll the Monte Carlo is an astounding car, I was just wondering how do these cars compare to the Mustang (v6). I was driving home from my girls last night on the interstate cursin at 75 and we'll this monte carlo pulls up beside me doing like 85 and slows down a tad... So I hop on it and we approch 100 and we'll i'm at least 1 1/2 car lengths so I don't know if he was just playin wit me or ? (NOTE: Our Section of the Highway was Clear! Endangering ourselves)
So how would our 05's Stand up?

Well, if it was an SS from the last year or two, you were playing with a 300 hp V-8, so i'm not sure why you were beating him. An 05 GT could take an SS Monte without much problem, but your V6 would be a bit overmatched. Although it's not the most performance-oriented car out there, a 5.3 liter V-8 gives the Monte some pretty good acceleration off the line, although i'm not sure how it pulls at the higher speeds you were at.
The lesser monte carlos use a 211 hp 3.5 L v6 or a 242 hp 3.9 L v6 depending on the model, so you might be able to keep up with them pretty well. unless he was playing with you, like you said, you probably saw one of these two cars.

The V8 is in the 2006+ Monte Carlos

True, but older Monte Carlo SS did had 3.8L V6 turbo and 240 hp.

Most likely it is the 80's Buick Regal T-Type, Grand National, or GNX which had the turbo V6. I don't recall any factory Monte Carlo SS from that time with turbo V6. Did the FWD Monte Carlo have supercharged 3.8L V6?

When I said older I meant 2000+ Monte Carlo SS.
But no, none of the Monte Carlo SS from the 1980s had turbo or supercharger. Monte Carlo SS existed from 1983 until 1988 and they had 350 cid V8 and around 180 hp. There was also Monte Carlo's SS twin, Oldsmobile Cutlass Hurst/Olds and later 442, but they only had 305 cid and around 140 hp. Buick Regal Grand National was only one with turbo.

I'm pretty sure the 2004 and 2005 Monte Carlo SS's were available with a supercharged v6.
Incidently, the turbo 3.8 from the 1987 GNX ended up in, i believe, the 1994 25th anniversary Firebird. It wasnt a bad engine, but the odd part is that it replaced the 350 v8 in the model. having the v6 as an option would have made more sense that forcing it on all the 25th anniversary cars.
