If he's stock you win. A few stock SRT4's have mustered 13.8's on real hard launches, but most drivers can only get low 14's. They're fast up top so if you two go at it make sure it's from a dig.

Stock SRT-4 is SLOW, like 14s. I've raced lots at the track. Just launch at 2800-3000 with TCS off and you'll beat him easy. Yes do it from a dig, turbos got high end power.

with a few bolt-ons its scary how fast those cars are

On a side note, a friend's SRT4 wastes almost double what my '05 GT does, and it uses premium as well.

Guys, this isn't even a close race. Ron... your stang has an aftermarket intake with a 93 tune by the one and only Doug at bamachips. Added with the TB spacer and SLP's, and considering you are a good driver, you should be doing the quarter mile in close to 13 seconds flat. A full second or more faster than your friend. You could miss a shift and probably still beat him. Find an abandoned stretch of roadway and race him. Or challenge him at the track, if you have one close to you. Just make sure you get him to put some money up.

I have personally raced one on the track during the summer and i got it on tape. I jumped out so far on him he didn't have a chance. I probably had 3 car lengths on him before the 1/8th. But there top end is really good, i ran 104 mph and he ran 101 mph.

You should have no problem beating him, especially with your modifications.

You can take the SRT, they are pretty fast cars with lots of potential but NO chance of lasting too long before they fall apart.

I killed one of these on the freeway, rolling about sixtyfive mph, up hill grade, and he had a two car jump on me. About five second later I had about four car lengths on him, and was pulling him for more. My speed at the end was about 115 mph, didn't push it anymore because what would be the point. P.S. He picked the fight, I just finished it.

It took 5 seconds to get from 65 to 115? You must have kept it in 5th... Do yourself a favor next time; drop it into 3rd and floor it and by the time you get into 4th you should be past him.

No, I kept in 4th, there was no need to go to third.

Are you serious?? You think your car can get from 65 to 115 any faster than 5 secs???? 5 seconds is too fast. More like 60 - 100 takes like 7 seconds as it is.. You are in a dream world if you think you can climb 3rd and half of 4th in less than 5 seconds.
