GT-R Concept vs Shelby Cobra GT500
i like the GTR, even if the shelby is more practgical.
that thingis one of the sexiest things on four wheels. EVER!
if i had the choice between building, say, an 05 GT with a GTR bodykit or buying a shelby, i'd take that GTR clone anyday. just in red, thank you

The GT-R is hardly a monster. If I remember correctly it was just as fast as the Mustang GT. Although, I'm pretty sure a little tinkering with the engine and that puppy would do better. Still, I went for the GT500
No the GTR was faster:

It produced 440 hp and 400 trq with a six speed tranny and 4.56:1 final drive ratio. This was a pure bred race car.
But I still agree with you Lalo for me the Cobra would be a better choice

Found the results: the GT-R was actually one second slower in the 60 and 1/4 then the Mustang GT
The extra weight (especially from the engine) probably slowed it down a lot.

the GTR may have been slower in the 1/4, but it handles waaaaay better doesnt it? i mean thats what it was made for!
