I think I'd rather have the General Lee.
Though in either case I'd pull the motor and stick a Ford under the hood. A 427 SOHC might just do the trick with a 6-speed manual . . .

Being partial to MOPARs, I have always liked the 1969-1970 Chargers. I used to cringe each time I saw the General Lee land after a jump. Maybe my wife will buy me a 1969 Charger R/T, then again ...

Eric, at the end of the DUKES movie, you will see a montage of wrecks with the General Lee --- I suggest you leave before that starts LOL

General does it rite. We just saw a report about both of these cars. They General had better motor. Bandit was all paint. That is like saying never mind the kiss, I liked her lips stick.

I LOVE both cars. But the black '77 TA was what I fantasized about from the moment I first saw smokey and the bandit. A buddy of mine used to buy and sell used cars as a hobbie (and for a little bit of extra cash). He got ahold of the silver aniversery TA, complete with the giant grey bird, silver leather, mirrored T-tops and 8-track for a steal. I thought that was the most bad **** car ever! Think he paid $3k back in 1990, even had the origional spare tire that came with canned air to inflate it, to make it more compact. Think he sold it for $5k. They are pretty rare now and fetch a pretty good bit of change. He shoulda held onto that.
If I could find a bandit in great shape I'd buy one in a heart beat, but most have been tore up and rusted out now days.

Bandit here, I had a friend with one and that was one sweet car. My only problem with that car was the interior, it was major monkey doo. But then again just about every perfomance car from the big 3 had horrible interiors.
Man did that car run though.

In this case I chose the General. But if the Bird was white with the blue trim/graphics i'd choose that 'cuz I love that color combo on that car.
