Fox or 05/09??
Have a 94 5.0 that I'm selling due to the fact that it's just getting old an is on its last limbs, I'm torn between getting a fox body mustang and dropping some money into or like an 05-06 gt, opinions?

Well, obviously you're looking in two very different price ranges, but you're also looking at two very different cars, and you need to ask yourself what you really want out of your Mustang.
An S197 will probably be a better daily driver, will probably be more reliable, will probably be more comfortable, and stock to stock, will be a much better performing car. That's not just in terms of raw speed/acceleration, but in handling, braking, and overall driving.
But, the kicker is that if you put S197 money (I'm thinking 12-16 grand here, depending...) into buying AND modding a fox, You could easily build a sub 12 second street monster.
So, what is it that you want? The bigger, more comfortable, arguably better looking/more eye catching S197, or do you want to build a monster Fox and accept the loss of comfort and curb appeal for outright speed?

IMO as a Fox owner, you should look into the newer models. These cars are even older than the one you currently have and you may end up with more of a "project" vs a "driver" in the long run. There is no question the S197 will do just about everything better than a Fox body right from the start, and more comfortably too.

My 3¢... Fox-body Mustangs were so 1980's...and the '80s sucked.
S197 while heavier, is a better car in every way, than a Fox Mustang. $5K spent on top of the S197 price will also get you into the 12s, and give you a much better daily driver to do it in.
Get the S197.

Unless its an exceptional Fox, or you basically want a weekend/track/strip car, I'd got with a S197, a much more advanced and better car overall.

..that still won't stop or handle as well, be as comfortable, or look as good as the S197...

as an owners of 5 fox body at the moment and a 2011 gt/cs 'vert. i'd have to go with an 06 up..run from an 05. i love my foxes but seats could be better but you can move the rail back about 1". 5 speed is weak..brakes suck .but for about 150.00 you can have a set of 73mm calipers and a svo master cyl. and those 4 lugs... a very clean low mile fox are running 6500+. i looked for a year to find a clean unmolested fox 'vert.
