Depends.. is that Venom the 1000hp one or not? Because the Venom did come in 3 HP packages.

Please, don't abrivieate it as SS. It makes me want to cry. the SS is some wanna-be car built with the only purpose to compete with the 67 GT.

 

Actually, at one time, the SS badging was something of Honor amongst GM vehicles. Same as the Shelby name for Ford and Hemi for Dodge.

If you've seen some of the crap that comes out of the Hennessey doors this wouldn't even be a thread. I've seen brand new never started motors out of cars that are complete garbage. It was like they just took a bunch of brand new parts, assumed everything would work and walked away.

I'll go with the Shelby.

If my memory serves me right, SSs did some serious spanking in the late 60's which included the 67 GT. As a matter of fact, the modded '68 GT in the movie Bullitt with an identical stock drivetrain as the '67 GT had a hard time keeping up with with the '68 Charger (synonymous to a fat whale) which was stock, including the rims and tires, just to make it close while keeping the movie's commitment to reality in place.

Note: the Charger was not even close to being in the same league as the SS.

Later, it was the Mach 1 and the BOSS 302 (1/4 mile and road racing respectively), not the GT, that actually began to command respect and fear from your so called wanna-be car, alias SS.

 

what could they do on a corvette ss? imagine that. woooooooo. GM officials will eventually have to resort to chuck norris's advice, so they can keep the company alive. that's why there never was a corvette SS. nostradamus predicted the demise of GM centuries ago.

in my school, every one is a chevrolet fan, claiming ford makes crappy cars. i would argue with them of course, but for what, its me vs the entire chevrolet obsessed school. even though im right id lose. and i know im right because if ford cars were crappy, then why did the mustang never cut production?
