Chainsaws-What do you like?

Hey all,

I know its been awhile since i've posted, but i finally got some free time and here I am Ok anyways, Which Chainsaw do you all prefer? My family and I are all Husqavarna, My cousins/grandparents were/are all loggers so they prefer Husqavarna after they've owned STIHL and Homelite and they kept breaking...so what do you guys like? My dad has a Husky 51 and is buying me the same, and my grandfather had some 3 something XP with over 6hp

I have a 28" Stihl and it's been great. I just cut down 28 pine trees this weekend and cut down 20+ a few months ago as well as a bunch after the hurricanes. No problems and cuts like butter. Just keep the chain out of the dirt, regardless of the brand. If you don't go with a Stihl, I'd go with the Husqavarna. Avoid the retail (i.e. HD, Lowes) stores. I've gone thru a few chainsaws from them and they never last.

Just got a Poulan Pro 16". It works for me. I don't live in the woods. All's I can say is Homelite anything sucks.
All the rest of my 2 strokers are Echo and I've never had a problem w/ any of them.

My infor probably doesn't help any though. Good luck

I use both husquvarna ans stihl at work (im a forest ranger) I've got a husky i use at home. I like both brands of saws.
My uncle swear's by shindaiwa saws. I've never used one, but i know a few loggers that prefer them.

Sthil Farm boss, thats what I have.
Returned a new Husq. and threw a fit after it quit oiling and burnt the bar during the first run of it.
Will admit the Husq seemed to rev faster and even higher rpm sounding.

And then again it could have been that 101 octane and redline syn 2 stroke mix that had something to do with it.????????
