Which is better?

Corvette = White Collar purpose built sports car.
Mustang/Cobra = Blue Collar hard working, swiss army knife.
Please stop intermingling the two. They are not in the same comparable classification. Now if Ford would bring the price down on the "Ford GT's" to compete with the C6, guess who would win.
Is anybody following my thought process?

Sort of, but the Corvette has ALWAYS had a very large blue collar following. It really wasn't until the C4 that the Corvette was really upgraded and positioned to be a high brow sports car, or white collar car as you say.

There have been many occasions when I have considered getting a C5 (probably a Z06) just for a change in pace. I like Mustangs, but I have had seven of them now. Bang for the buck, the C5 is actually quite a good deal.
