2013 camaro or 2013 mustang?

I hate the way the Camaro looks, especially the inside. So it's a no brainer which one I think is the best. As far as performance I am not into circle jerks competing to see who can shoot the fastest and farthest.

I bought the Boss because it's only a summer car and at $43,000 I planned on using it rather then washing and waxing it bragging about it's low mileage.
I'll never be around to see it EVER appreciate in value.
The GT is a awesome car and very close to power of the Boss. With some mods it will hang with the Boss in straight line performance, and you will have options up the wazoo but the price tag will be on Boss territory.

I test drove the Camaro prior to setting on the Mustang. I personally really liked the new body style of the Camaro and was aiming for that. The test drive of the Camaro really upset me initially due to the interior. The dash line and door panels are at the same height leaving no dimension from within the car (after all, while driving, the interior is just as important as the exterior). As stated before, due to that design, major blind spots from the rear quarter area. The stereo system was far from pleasing and the layout, although resembling the original model, was confusing and distracting. The engine was pretty good, but not as expected from the advertising and word of mouth.
The Mustang: the body style is just as appealing and unique. The interior actually has function and dimension and is more comfortable overall. The engine was more responsive with great power, the braking was much better and the options were great.
Both cars can have numerous mods to make them both more competitive if you want to spend the money. Overall, the Mustang sells itself. Go to a local dealer and drive both - and then decide which one is best for you!

(just teasin' ya)
Mustang all the way for me. I'm glad the Camaro (and Challenger) exist, as it keeps Mustang on its toes. I'd love to add a Camaro and a Challenger to my stable but, given the choice of just one, it'd be Mustang.
It's not always about laptimes, not always about pulling lateral Gs, not always about that 1/4 mile, trunk space, or airbags...............it's the way they make you feel

Ahhh... the classic matchup
Mustang is better
For all Mustang trims in regards to Camaro counterparts:
-It's cheaper
-It's faster
-It has better mpg
-It has More HP
-It's lighter
Against Camaro
-Camaro ripped off Guigiaro, IMHO.
-Camaro has no answer to the Boss 302
-An f'ing Genesis Coupe is faster that the V6 Camaro, and that's just himiliating.
-The interior makes you feel that somebody was overcompensating for something with the over-sized features.
-It's heavy.
Your move.

Well, usually when people buy muscle cars, they show off its displacement, hp, tq, 0-60. 1/4 mile, or lap time.

At the end of the day, for me personally, there's nothing like driving a mustang!! It's everything about the car that just excites me when I see one, let alone drive one! I've owned a couple of camaros and it doesn't give me the feeling a mustang gives me! Trust me, after you drive both, you'll know wich one is right for youand I hope it's the stang! Good luck on your decision!

good points, heres how its better though:
-the suspension is FAR better, it uses the superior IRS which gives more traction in turns, especially bumpy ones, and traction is also important to speed
-the base breaks for the car is a lot better
-its not that much heavier and i did the math only the suspension causes the weight difference
-the parts under the car are far more high tech than the mustang
-it looks pretty good, in my opinion
-it has a certain kind of coolness because they didnt add a bunch of small features like changing color lights and other tiny things, it focuses on performance more
-from what i heard you won't spend much on maintenance compared to the ford, which is a big plus for me, theres nothing i hate more than finding out my car has some kind of problem that will cost me money
-its a lot safer from what i've heard.
-lap times, acceleration and all that is nearly identical to the mustang, sometimes slower sometimes faster
in the end as i said its a VERY tough choice because i can list LOTS of positives to the mustang also.

It's not that tough. They're both cars. Honestly if the choice is that tough go with the Camaro. Because if you are this picky and hard to satisfy then chances are you won't be happy with either. And I'd rather you complain later about a Chevy than a Ford. This whole thread seems kind of trollish to me. I've seen it before.

As far as comparisons, I cannot say more than you're probably read in a magazine.
For me , I sat in a 2010 or so Camaro the dallas auto show. I was still kind of bumbed Michael Bay didn't keep true to the original bug, but it certainly looked pretty cool! Until I sat in it. Horrible interior, blind spots, etc. The wife and I basically crossed it off the list right then and there.
Ford gets my money.

Not according to this article. In my opinion, there is a lot to be said for the 1LE's tires and suspension tuning.

I agree Tony, seems Chevy really stepped things up with the new Camaro Models.
Ive been a Mustang fan before I was in High School so I doubt id ever be in a Camaro but i can't deny the Camaros performance.
