2006 Pontiac Solstice

Looks nice, has RWD, and under $20K. Wow, Pontiac can do more than slap a GTO badge on an Australian coupe. I wouldn't mind one at all.

well the V6 convertible has 2 more seats, not to mention 2 more cylinders
i dont know if they are even aimed at the same market. but it is a nice car nonetheless. a miata competitor no doubt

True - it's a 2 seat roadster like the Miata, BMW Z3, and Porsche Boxster. I was just wondering if it's pricing (between 20k to 25k) would draw some thunder from the V6 'vert. I'd pick it over the V6 'vert, but not over a GT 'vert...I know...blasphemy

Looks a lot like the Z4 ( and I don't like them). Ugly IMO. But better than a toyota ( i hate toyota!

It's an under powered, over bloated, priced too high, cheap plastic interior, attempt at the miid 20's market.
One which will flop MISERABLY. I have seen and felt the interior of the solstice/sky up close in person and it just stinks. It's like the mid-late 90's cavalier quality.

The solstice is a low volume car, I am sure they will sell quickly. I think it may take some V6 Mustang sales away.
I personally like the Saturn Sky better

lets rephrase that the supra is a good car, but it needs to be de-riced, spoiler delete, stock body, slicks and skinnies, all black. toyota is not my fav company, but the supra is something i would consider, i wouldnt buy it but i would consider it
I agree with the other posters above who favor the Solstice's GM cousin, the Saturn Sky. Saw it at the auto show and the pictures don't do it enough justice. One of the few (very few) GM cars I would ever consider putting in my garage. But no Mustang would ever be put out of the stable for it.
I believe I read the Solstice has a 4cyl - 177 hp 'engine' and the Sky has a whopping 170 hp 4cyl... Hey they might give my lawn mower a run for its money!
I do like the styling but NOT competition V6 or GT – please.

Everyone is saying a Miata competetor, But I think it will take more sales away for the already ******* Chrysler Crossfire. I would like to know how many of those have been sold. I see lots full of them all the time. I dont think people want them. 35K for 210hp? give me a break! All of those potential buyers will be in a Solstice this summer.
