Hey guys,

last night I was rolling home in my Gt when a blue Corvette C5 rolls by and then guns it and takes off. Obviously, he wanted to race, but being that I had my 1yr old in the back, I couldn't play. How do you think this match-up would play out? I think the Gt and the C5 are pretty closely matched, aren't they?

Just looking for opinions.

It's just a simple question. A C5 Vette will smoke a 2005 V6 Mustang.

I think you would get walked. A C5 has 50 more horsepower and weighs 400 lbs. less.

 

Gotta agree with Dan, you would have troouble beating a C5.

 

The C5 would win, but I think you have the better looking car. I was disappointed by the C5, just not that impressive. The C4 was much better IMO.

I don't know, I think my C5 is better looking than my C4. My C4 kicks the C5's hiney though.

 

the 04 Z06 was pretty sharp, but the 05s viper nose and stupid look needs to go

 

At 505 HP and 3150 lbs. I'm not going to care all that much about the '06 Z06 looks. I already have my deposit in at the local dealer, hopefully I'll have it by September. Now I just have to figure out how to fit another car in the garage.

Wow, so you are going to have an '05 Mustang GT, a C4, C5, and a C6 Vette? Pretty impressive. So where's the Sting Ray at? C'mon don't get cheap on us.

 

I'm not into the early cars otherwise I would have a few in the collection. The Mustang is my daily driver, you can't get new F-bodies any more. The Vettes are fair weather toys.
