I saw in one of the local AutoTrader magazines at an authorized dealer a 2004 Azure Blue Mustang Mach 1. It had 1800 miles on it and it was $26,753. Is that a good price?? I do LOVE the Mach 1's, but I am completely obsessed with my 05. Should I bite and go after it or stick with my 05 GT. I know the obvious differences, but performance wise stock-stock the Mach 1 edges out a little. Plus I get a ton of head turns with my stang now and a million thumbs up and honks from people who love my car on the road. Any opinions would be appreciated !! Thanks!!

Matt

Just like this one.

Man, an Azure Blue Mach would be amazing to own. and low mileage to boot!
It's a tough decision, but keep in mind that the car only went down about 3K from what it was when it was brand new. You might find a cheaper one elsewhere (but i bet it'll have more mileage  )
Tough choice, but I would stay with your current car.
Can you make a straight trade with your Grand Am? :P

Yeah I just did a local autotrader search and found another Mach 1 (2004) with 30K on it for 24 grand :notnice:. I wish I didn't open the Autotrader magazine when I went to the local pizzaria tonight.

*Contemplating in Southeastern PA*

Man that's a tough decision. I mean that is a really tough decision. I love both of these cars so freakin' much. I'd probably stick with the '05 simply because you know what's been done to it, and (for all you know) the current owner of the Mach1 could have been grinding gears or whatever. Just consider yourself lucky that your able to get yourself into such a predicament.

I have seen the Mach 1 for as little as 20k with low miles. I was comtemplating all sorts of different cars during the 5 month wait for my GT, 03-04 cobra, mach 1, 350Z, RX8, etc. Glad I was patient and waited for the 05 GT. My dealer actually had a black on black Mach 1 that I considered cause I was getting so impatient. IMO, keep the 05.

Seems a tad high, but with such low mileage maybe not . . .

Also moving to "Which is Better" section.

I saw 4 of them in the paper the other day and I know at least 2-3 were from dealers. All had 5-15k mi on them and all listed around 21k.

Ok, I sold my '04 Azure Blue Mach for $22,500 w/18,000 miles a month ago. I thought that was kinda high considering average wholesale was between $18-19,000. Mine was a non-IUP package car. Back to the car in question, you could have bought the car new for a lot less than what they're asking for it used. I'd say stick with the '05.

For that price stick with your 05. If you had found one in the range of 20k-22k that would be a whole other story.

Thanks for the opinions and different views. I thought the Mach 1's were around 30k new, so that's why I thought it wasn't too bad of a deal

I agree, stay with your 05. I traded in my 03 Mach1 ( a DSG) with 13K miles and perfect condition for $17,500 when I bought my 05. The dealership quickly re-sold it for just a couple grand more, which is a lot less $. So good deals on low mileage Mach1 can be found if you're really considering the swap. Letting some local dealers or car clubs know that you are in the market for a good used Mach1 will increase your odds of actually finding one.

I bought my 03 Mach1 with IUP and 6-disk CD player (the only available upgrades for a 5 spd) for MSRP, which back in Dec '02 was $27,290.

MATT, WAKE UP!!!!!!!!!!!!! Did you see what I posted? Now there's you a Mach 1. Screaming Yellow is a great color, plus you get all the extra parts!!! You probably would have no problem selling your '05 for what you paid for it since they're in short supply.
