2000 GT VS 1966 coupe

Which is better in a drag race:

2000 GT: cai, 3.55s, pro 5.0 short throw and a Bama tune

Or

1966 coupe: stock 289( possibly punched our to a 302, not sure though) C4 auto basically bone stock.

Also here's a loaded question: what's better looks-wise? (hint: if you don't vote the classic then you are absolutely insane)

66 looks great. Wheels should be given to the recyclers though.

I argued a lot with him over those. But his parents didn't want to spend more than 900 total on rims and tires. I voted torque thrusts.

We've been arguing about it for well over a year but he won't take it to a track :/

And your dad has a pretty awesome '66 then

going by the '00 and '66 in your post..

'66 wins for looks

'00 wins the race

simple., don't even have to go to the track. '00 GT, gears and a tune vs a stock auto '66 sorry don't see it happening.

LOL. yeah when it comes to stuff like that it can be an endless arguement. sometimes it is just easy to let him hold onto the dream . At one time in my local club we had a little back and forth going with a member who had a nice '95 H,C,I and gears who swore he could hand it to an '04 Termi with a wipple, meth kit and the irs deleted for a built 9" and the termi kid had skills . Kinda like the little guy picking a fight with someone three time his size..you know pretty much how its going to go but it's funny watch .

Haha that kid had some *****. The worst argument we have is wether or not he ha s a 351 or not. He swears on his life that it was a 289 bored and strokes to a 351 with an extra .060 to go. Which is total bull. Even a 302 can't go that far. I've told him but he says it's a numbers matching block down to one number. He somehow got it drilled into his head that it's possible to do that. Heck even a Dart block won't go more than .060 over

well it cannot and isn't. A 289 can be stroked to a 347 but there wouldn't be any confusion about it once it was started up, bumping a 289 to 302 isn't a big deal. I think he just needs to come to trems with what he owns and be happy or do something about it or the very least do some research but saying you got a stroker is very hard to do unless you never fire it up. My advice don't feed in and it should die out. also the person who thought he could take the termi wasn't a kid if you can believe it.

Don't worry, I gave up changing his mind a long time ago. And honestly that's pretty hard to believe

2000 wins both looks and the race

He needs to lower the 66, looks like a 4x4, and trash those wheels.
