I traded in my DSG 03 Mach1 for my 05 and although Mach1s are somewhat unique, I still prefer the looks of the new generation stang. When I was buying the 05, I even parked it next to the Mach1 after the test drive. Sitting next to the 05, the lines of the Mach1 that I had loved so much for over 2 years just didn't look so sharp any more. I even saw my old Mach1 at a car show maybe two months later and still had no regrets about replacing it. Though, I just may have to add a shaker to the 05 someday.

 

I'd keep the Mach 1. I don't think the body style is as cool looking as the 05/06 but it's a solid performer and still a great looking car and (most importantly) you won't be renewing your car payments.

 

keep the mach...........it IS faster.......better power to weight ratio ...the shaker is great.........aftermarket is already booming.........

no offense to the GT's or the GT fans, but i couldn't see myself driving anything BUT an SE ever again.!!!!

I took the MACH out this weekend with my girlfriend, now she is always ripping me up for buying a new stang every year or 2.....after our ride she said, "your car is hot", "why would you want to get rid of this hot Mach for a GT"....i looked at her and said "i have no friggin idea"....

I am keeping my Mach!!!!!!!!!!!

 

The question you have to ask yourself is what do u do when the next gen Mach 1 comes out lol.

 

when the next gen mach or boss or w/e comes out.......depending on vehicle specs and personal financials, YOU GET IT!!!!!!!!!!!!


but for now....i'd rather take my faster mach then a new gt......the gt just has that 'new' factor going for it..........i personally love it...except for the tail end design!!

 

oh, thats crazy, some people even traded terminators on 05 gts

 

I have an 05' but I would keep the Mach 1 if i were you. that car has potential. But its up to you man. But I do like my 05' a lot!!!! The Mach is a rare beast that is why I would keep it.

I got engaged.....got married....had a beautiful baby girl (god bless her, greatest thing ever to grace my world)....

Have a nice Townhome.....ok, so i had 2 cars at this time....05 escape limited (wifes car) and my 04 mach1

i traded the mach 1 in 2007 for an 07 edge (fully loaded)

its been a year and now the escape lease is up......terming it, and getting a fully loaded 2008 GT/CS VERT Performance white.....giving wife the edge....


I am taking delivery of my GT/CS VERT this sataurday....OMG ITS GORGEOUS!

This GT/CS VERT is one bad *** **** of a stang!

Also prob one of the "sexiest" stangs i have ever seen!

The mach was nice, but it was outdated, and felt like i been thru a wrestling match after each time i took her for a spin....

And the AUTO on the GT/CS is a sheer bliss to drive! SILKY SMOOTH

 

Heh, crappy 4 link suspension FTW!

But I figure the Machs would be the faster of the two since even with the 4 cam motor the Mach should come in lighter. No contest in the chassis dynamics and handling, S-197 FTW. I also dare say the S-197 wouldn't have any trouble with the Terminator, its not carrying as much weight on the nose, and has a much better front suspension as well as a really well designed rear suspension. The Terminator's only real advantage over the S-197 chassis wise are the larger tires.

I was buying a black 2004 snake in june of 2004...but there was a $3,000 rebate for the mach 1 and nothing for the snake,....i was upside down, so the rebate helped....4 weeks after i bought mach, ford released a $3,000 rebate for the snake....TO THIS F-ING DAY IM STILL PSSED ABOUT THAT!
