Well, a Ford dealer here. Not gonna say where from for obvious reasons, but I had to do this and then post it for you guys. I am actually pretty close to the Chrysler dealer in town and he was pretty hot-to-trot about his 05 300C (yes, with the stupid hemi). He called me at work and wanted to go have some fun. So, never one to back down on a challenge (I have beaten him with diesels too), I said ok. So, I take our Mustang GT 5-spd standard out. After making sure there was no traffic coming down the highway, I let him call it. And let me tell you, I knew the 300C would go pretty good, and I will give credit where credit it due, it moves for a big car. But it should with a motor that size. Anyways, I took him off the line easily, and gained a couple lengths, and steadily pulled ahead all the way to 200 km/h. (ok, now you know this is in Canada). That was the first time to that speed for that car, and it is amazing how well it holds the road. I backed off, even though there was a lot more left, but that is getting a little risky.

Moral of the story, the Mustang beats the 300C. No questions asked. I love beating him when he calls me on.

I had to do it, it just pissed me off when that thing won COTY.

Ahhhuum...not to rain on anyone's parade, but the 300C, or the 425 bhp 300C SRT-8 (pictured below)?

Big diff...

That SRT-8 is sick. If I was making another 10k a year I'd be holding out for one of them instead of a Stang.

Kidding aside, thats a nice looking sedan all the way around. See quite a few of the Chryslers on the road here.

Not to rain on your parade but I don't think the SRT-8 will stand a chance against the '07 Cobra. That's just MHO though!

They really don't compete on any level. It can carry 5 people, luxury sedan not sports car. The facts about the 300 are: 126,000 sold since April 04, navigation built in, sirus built in, bluetooth for your phone through your radio wireless from the factory, day night mirror, homelink, advanced handling system combines traction control, ABS if your car starts loosing control as your driving it takes you out of the slide or spin. Heated seats. I hope the Mustang can beat it the Mustang is a sports car. If it couldn't do that then why wouldn't you get the 300 with all its features. Hey I think they are both great cars in there own way thats one I bought one of each. By the way I was on the 300 site today and all the people were very positive in there coments on the Mustang. No trash talk. A large number of 300 owners own Mustangs.

I agree. A great car is a great car, no matter WHO builds it. The 300C is an awesome car, and the SRT-8 is gonna rock!

The 500 is actually pretty impressive overall, too, though the front needs a more compelling styling job.

Like MT said in its recent sedan comparo test: "Motown Finds Its Mojo"!

Although I like the looks of the 300C, I wouldn't want to own one. Maybe the SRT, but the 340hp hemi that they put in those 300Cs is just not a powerful enough engine for that car.

I drove a Magnum that had the hemi in it, and it wasn't that fast either.

Hopefully it was your car and not some other future owners .. sounds to me like you were racing a car you shouldn't have ... I may be wrong though ...
Well, a Ford dealer here
So, I take our Mustang GT 5-spd standard out

Well said, TomServo92.... I'm gonna call you Tom. Can I call you Tom? Anyways... let's put the ba11s out on the table and see who comes out on top, there. And for those who say "let's compair apples to oranges," well where's the Charger Chrysler's been talkin' about for years? Let's get it out here, lets get a Magnum model and an R/T model, and let's see whacha got.
