05 GT vs B5 S4
I say the GT wins. Buddy at work has a modded 2002 S4 (chip, exhaust etc) and no dyno numbers or times but states it is about 320hp.
Obviously at twisties S4 maybe better but just in straight line.
Anyone care to chime in?

With a Stage1 ECU I hear those things can be beasts, just over 300hp, and a real healthy amount of tq. I'd be careful, if yours is still stock. It would be a good challenge though.
You'll take him IMO. With a stock output of 250hp and 258tq, 320hp might be a number he likes to throw around (has he had it dyno'd or is this the cumulative hp game? LOL). Plus, your stang is probably putting out 315-320 stock anyway.
The main reason I think you'll beat him is because his is the Avant version which weighs over 3700lbs. That's almost 200lbs over your stang.

I've been looking it over, and as much as I'd like you to smoke him, it could very well be a drivers race. An auto vert weighs about 3620, so you still have a decent advantage.
Just remember that, with power figures aside, he could very well be into the 13's (S4's can get there with few mods, unless we assume he's bs'ing) Drive it hard all the way
I actually want to know the results on this, so whenever you race him lets us know what happens.
If the worst happens you still have the cooler car, and almost half the price

Modded?! Common....anything modded can be a beast. I saw a modded Eagle Talon run a 8.8 second 1.4 mile(mightnot have had its original engine, but still). When you start modding stuff it's whoever can spend the most amoun of money on their car will win. You should compare stock v stock.
