Shortage of 64E wheels
#1
My upstate New York dealer is telling me that my 2006 GT,
which was ordered in June and sheduled to be built in early
December cannot be built during 2006 with the Fanblade wheels
due to allocation issue - anyone aware of this problem, or is it
just more BS froma dealer who originally promised me the car's
delivery in early September?

You mention a couple of different issues.
In the Ford World, scheduled means already serialized. I am presuming this is not the case for two reasons.
1. Early December scheduling won't be done until week 45 - which commences November 10.
2. If the vehicle was serialized with Fanblades, then the availability issue is old news, as the commodity availability must be in place before a serial number is assigned. If it was serialized without Fanblades, they cannot be added to the order.
The wheel is still available for the rest of the model year, but we do not know how many we will get. It depends wheel production constraints and how much demand changes to 64W Bullits.
But we have had 6 GTs with 64E serialized or built so far this model year, and we anticipate getting at least as many again over the rest of the model year.

I had the same issue in NJ- told me if I still wanted the 18 fanblades, it would be built after April 2006!!!! I've been trying to get a GT since early March 05, finally ordered as 06 in August and should arrive (finally) after new year's but with 17 wheels...I guess it's a problem for the northeast, but I'm having trouble getting dealer to change wheels over without paying for another set of 18 tires...any advice how to do this?
