Hey there, if any dealers on here could tak e amoment to answer a few questions for me, that would be really appreciated..

1. What is DORA?

2. if i go in and order my GT using the x-plan, how does that affect my priority with regards to build date/delivery date, or does it?

3. what do the numbers mean when they say priority 1, something else 10...yadda yadda yadda.

4. why do you wait until the car is delivered before you try for financing and or lenders? why not when you order the car to see if you qualify before ordering and getting your hoes built up only to hear that even with perfect credit, you'll pay out the rear end in interest and high monthly payments?

Pardon the sarcasm, i think this particular process is horrible to the consumer.

thanks for your time

1. The DORA is a dealer order receipt acknowledgement. It is a receipt from Ford stating exactly what was ordered.

2. The x-plan has no bearing on priority with Ford. The dealer assigns the priority. The only effect it could have is if your dealer gives you a worse priority because of the discount, but Ford gives no special priority.

3. The priorities line up the orders within your particular dealers order bank. The lower the priority number, the closer to the front of the line you are. The dealers can only assign a priority as low as 10, anything under that is reserved for factory use.

4. Why do you wait? If you are concerned as to whether you have the ability to get adequate financing, contact your own sources prior to ordering. Once you have been pre-approved order the car. If when the vehicle arrives, the dealer can secure a better rate take it. If they can't use your pre-determined source. If you have truly perfect credit, going to your local bank or credit union should provide you with a very fair rate.
