Hey Everyone!

I have just joined today and I have to say after seeing pics of the 2005 Mustang GT yesterday, YES ONLY YESTERDAY, I am in LOVE!

Also, looking at your forums, it is fantastic to see so many people drooling about their impending orders and the general electric excitement oozing from your threads!

I live in London UK and my aim is to import from the USA a 2005 GT - loaded with as much of the options added as possible - listen I am no millionaire, but whilst the £ is so strong against the $, I must take up this opportunity, right?

I think it would be easier for me to order from an East Coast Ford dealer, ie from NY or somewhere like that and then the journey is a bit shorter.

What is your advice on price plans and maybe any dealer who may be expert in shipping to the UK etc? Or any dealer that someone recommends could deal with me. We have a big American car importers in London, but I reckon they will just bump up the price to get one here for me, besides I want to this all myself, or as much as possible.

In 12 hours I have become so exited about this car, OK, this car is part of American Motoring History but as a non US resident, I already feel very, very excited about owning this car, even despite the fact that gas here is $7.65 a gallon here, still it will be more of a weekend car!

I have always loved the size and presence of American cars and how much better so many of them our compared to crappy little European cars! I also highly commend how well Ford have got the design of the 2005 Mustang right, a retro feel, strong hints of the original car with a contempory blend make it as us Brits say 'BANG ON!'

Anyway, enough of my rambling, bring on the info and I look forward to hearing from you and chatting with you.

Your delivery dates are in my thoughts...!

Regards.

Grant.

Hey,

Thank you your welcoming messages, yes I suppose it is cool to have a Mustang in the UK, hadn't really thought of that before, too busy drooling over options and colour schemes.

Regards.

Hi Grant,
This is my first post here and i also live in London, U.K. can i ask, are you a member of the Owners Club in the U.K.?
On our website you'll find all the relevant info that you will need to import a car into the U.K. especially regarding shipping, taxes to be paid, how to register the vehicle etc.
I strongly recommend joining!
I think maybe that the independant dealers in the U.K. will try and get what they can for the car, that's why i'm holding off for a while yet, i'll probably buy next year when all the fuss has died down a bit.
Hope this helps,
Regards,
Angus Reid.

Thank you Angus.

That makes a lot of sense, the Americans are going crazy for this car, which is fair enough!

I will look at your website/owners club, which one is it?

Thank you for your time in contacting me.

Regards.
