I ordered a car and received the DORA on Dec1st 2004.
The car came in last month and they charged me $613 more
for the car saying I wasnt price locked in.
Well that week I found out that I was price locked in but the
dealership will not refund me the money and says that I still got a
good deal.
The issue with me is that we agreed on a price in writing and they lied
about a price lock to get more from me at closing.

When I found out and pointed it out to them they said it would take 6 weeks
and that they had to look up the definitions of Ford price lock to see if I
met its requirements. That was just a stall tactic.

They are unethical.

Does Ford have a Customer care center or anyplace that I can go to
complain?

Help,
Thanks,
Bob

You can use the consumer hotline phone number in your owners manual but Ford won't get involved in price issues between customers and dealers.

As long as the vehicle was delivered to the same name as the original order then price protection is automatic. The only items price protected are the base price and options. There is no protection on freight increases or increases in the advertising charge on each vehicle [which also just went up]. Obviously this dealer just wanted to make a few extra bucks on the car.

Threaten to Picket the dealership on a SAT !, or take them to small claims court, these people are responsible for the actions that they take, if they chose to be dishonest, your fellow citizens should know, and make the choice wether to do bus, with them or not, ....Think about it...

Just recently a guy had a Ford Truck from Woolwine Ford in Mississippi. Well, evidentally he was not pleased with the vehicle, and had little or no justice through his dealings with the dealership--- because for about a month, he spent the day parked on Main Street, sitting in a lawn chair beside his new ford truck.

On the truck he had spray painted :

LEMON FROM WOOLWINE CONTACT ME AT xxx-xxx-xxxx

He was there, faithfully, everyday for about a month or so. Extreme? Yes, but I think he made his point. Maybe Woolwine made ammends, Im not sure, but I havent seen the guy nor the truck in a while.

BUT when I went to buy an 04 Mustang, I did second guess going to Woolwine, but then figured that ONE guy against all the other Fords sold there shouldn't stop me. So, I went there first, found an 04 (Black) was 15,000+ The salesman went down to 13, 500. Told me it was a heck of a deal. Well, that afternoon my husband came by to see the car, and noticed it had been repainted on the front bumper. He asked to go down more, the salesman refused.

I asked for a bra, then... nope.. no deal. I was getting the BEST deal, he was sure.

So, I went home to think (and make him sweat...hehee) and the next day I was at work when my husband called to tell me he was on his way to Woolwine, b/c the newspaper just came out with the ad for 2004 Mustangs 12,500.

He said when he walked in the salesman's face was priceless. Well, so was his commission, because I just happened to be going to Louisiana that weekend, so I went to Bohn to look at 04s, and instead bought my 2005.

I loved it when I was at Subway, not long after buying my 05, I was sitting there eating, when the Woolwine salesman pulls up with someother man. They both get out, looking at my car. I just watched him through the window.

He came in and ordered, but not until he was going to sit down did he see me there. He just nodded, so I nodded back. I finished my sandwich, stood up and went to my car smiling from ear to ear. I felt so "PRETTY WOMANish" I wanted to say "Remember when I wanted to shop at your dealership, but you didn't want to work with me??? Big Mistake BIG mistake!!! HUGE!"
