Based on opinion or fact whats the best ford motor made? HP per dollar.
Think big but it has to fit in a mustang naturally aspirated but friendly to a super charger. Naturally aspirated preferable.
It should make a mockery of all other manufacturers.
Iron or aluminum.
Ford rep welcome to chime in on this to.

Well not counting the current 5.8L supercharged Trinity, I vote the 427 Cammer for top NA.

The 5.0 Road Runner motor (Boss 302) was a Wards top ten in 2012. I also liked the Boss 429 NASCAR spec motor as well.

I'm going with the Road Runner, I've never been more impressed with a Ford engine than the Road Runner. Well until the Voodoo engine comes out in the next SVT product.

I can't remember who makes the rest of the cammer stuff now, maybe Blue Thunder??? - NM, internet search turned up Keith Craft Racing as a distributor for a set of cammer heads ( http://www.keithcraft.com/item--Ford...-billcoon.html )
If I had to guess, it's probably 10k or 12k to get all the parts to build a long block.
Here is a 2009 article Hot Rod did on a cammer build ( http://www.hotrod.com/techarticles/e...d/viewall.html )

I have a soft spot for the Cammer not only because of enormous power/efficiency for the day, but Ford pulling the idea off the shelf for the 4.6L SOHC 3V in my DHG SMQ machine.
I would never screw with #901, but would love to buy a used 08/09 and build the crap out of a 3V. That would be fun to build on my Lotus edumacation back in the day.
But it has to have stacks.
