TMS #59 Finishes 12th at Mid-Ohio

The Rehagen Racing #59 2005 Mustang GT ran as high as 6th and finished 12th--the highest of any Mustang--at today's EMCO Gears Classic at Mid-Ohio. The #52 TMS/Rehagen Racing/Steeda/SHM 2003 Cobra finished 20th.

Complete results.

Good race! I had a blast. Met up with DanS.02GT along with some other friends from my local board/N.A.S.A AI series. Should have a link to a lot of pictures (Thanks to Black Horse on my local board) tomorrow.

It was a tough race today. We were running in 6th, up until our pitstop, where we dropped to 12th, and after that, way too much full course yellow didn't give us any time to get back up to the front. Plus, #59 got bumped on the left front fender pretty good, knocking the front toe out of wack making it a bit of a handful to drive fast, lol.

Ray did a heckuva job moving the #59 early in the race. Like I said before, the #59 finished 12th and all other Mustangs fell in line behind it. I know that Grand-Am has slowed the Mustangs down to prevent their dominance, but hasn't it gone a little too far? Does Ford or Grand-Am have any plans to get the Mustangs a little higher on the board?

Great Pictures!
Thanks for the link.

(Also watched SPEED's broadcast of the Saturday GrandAm race with the incredible crash by the BMW M3 in the GT class.
It's amazing that Joey Hand walked away from that one.)

Ya think maybe they'll redesign that part of the track again? I looked up at the TV just in time right as he was launching. I couldn't believe it, a was stunned watching all those flips and spins. Just amazing he walked away.

I was in the first set of grandstands when Joey flipped. Definitely the worst crash I've seen in person. Good to here he's OK. We didn't see him get out of the car, and when we walked down to the crash scene, none of the emergency workers were moving very urgently, and they put a tarp over the car. I didn't know for sure if he was alive until I got home and checked the GA website. Thank God for the HANS device...
