Thompson new road course - June 19th

Next up for me is the new road course at Thompson Motorsports Park here in Thompson, CT.

Anyone else attending? Anyone interested? If there is interest, shoot me a PM. Event is being hosted by Northeast Track Days, who have run nice, clean, smooth events so far.

I'm headed up with at least two friends, probably a couple others as well.

Not much is better than a day driving fast at a road course... about the most fun you can have with clothes on

Have fun and enjoy! I wish I could swing out your way and hit a few of them with you. The tracks out by you look like a lot of fun.

I just got tires put on my new track wheels. I went with Bridgestone Potenza S-04 Pole Position in 275/40-19. Going to mount them today or tomorrow. I have a month before my first track day at Grattan, and I want to burnish/heat cycle the new tires before hand to avoid chunking.

Nice - those should do very well. Probably a very good idea to try to heat cycle. I think Thompson is not going to be as rough on tires as limerock, so hopefully no more chunking on mine this week. It's too bad they started chunkimg because they are wearing excellently. Far better than the OEM pirelli's... But I think my next tires for the track wheels might be slicks....

Will post after the event I'm sure. Can't wait!
