That looks like one slow bug.

EMPI bugs IIRC were running in the 8's in the 60's, nothing new except to the internet generation.

 

We’re going to put this right there in the “unexplainable” box, right next to “believe it or not.”

Now, if you can figure it out, we certainly welcome your feedback. But for us, the idea of a Volkswagen Beetle beating a Mustang is a pretty wild phenomenon, regardless of what the VW is modified with.

Built by Kaddie Shack, the VW certainly puts on one hell of a show against the Mustang, as highlighted in the video below, posted by X30N. Now that I think about it, one hell of an “embarrassing” show might be more fitting for fans of the Ford pony car, considering how this drag race plays out.

We couldn’t even pass this one off as close if we wanted to. But as quickly as the Beetle jumps out on the Mustang, it could have been a whole lot worse, which I find as odd writing in a post as watching it all go down.

 

ok so it looks like the bug got the jump on the stang and then stayed in front of the stang to take the win. And thats how the mustang got beat by the VW

 

 

looks like the mustang had a bad launch, and the bug got the jump and just hooked in and left the stang like a mad girl after a bad dinner date!
