Anybody going to the Grand-Am Cup race this coming June 25th at Mid-Ohio?

Cup race is at ~1:00pm.

I think I am going to go.

 

Trying to see if I can get the wife to do baby duty that day. Missed out last year-would love to attend this year.

 

Rehagen Racing will be there . . . Right now the plan is to run the #59 2005 Mustang GT and the #52 2003 Mustang Cobra. We are hoping for a very strong finish, especially with the #59 which finished 6th at Laguna Seca a couple months ago, and With both of our drivers in that car very familiar w/ Mid-Ohio, it should make for some good racing

Also of note, the #52 Mustang Cobra finished 2nd at Mid-Ohio 2 years ago.

 

I'm planning to be there Saturday and Sunday, unless free Cleveland GP tickets fall into my hands in the next few days. Whoever decided to hold two major races an hour apart on the same weekend needs to get shot.

Wasn't there two races last season as well? I seem to remember you having this dilemma last year. I'll PM you to give/get your numer again so we can meet up.

I was there for both day of GA last year. SVRA ran the same weekend as Cleveland, so I went to Mid-O Saturday, and Cleveland Sunday. The year before that, SVRA was the same weekend as the USGP,and Nascar at MIS, for that matter, so I was at Indy on Saturday, and Mid-O on Sunday. This year, I'm considering Cleveland on Sunday, but that would mean missing out on GA Cup, not to mention paying $50 for a crappy bleacher seat, where the GA ticket covers the whole weekend. Then again, if PT or his new teammate has anything for Seabass this weekend, I might be interested anyway.

 

After watching the Champ Car race from Portland, I'm strongly considering Cleveland next Sunday. Still definitely planning on making it to Mid-O Saturday, though.

Actually I was just thinking about Sunday for the Cup race @ 1:00pm.

EDIT . . I just purchased my ticket, so I'll be in attendance on Sunday, 25th.

 

So you were smart enough to buy in advance. I was waiting for some freebies that never materialized. I'm still not sure about Sunday. A look at my bank account tells me that one racetrack is probably enough for a weekend, so I may just end up camping at Mid-O. Probably won't know for sure until Sunday morning. I'll give you a call sometime Sunday morning if I'm still there. Is your cell# still the same?
