Koni - Lime Rock

Watched the tape delay Koni Challenge Lime Rock race yesterday. Pretty good race this past Memorial Day in Lime Rock for the GS racers. Mustangs qualified . . . . not so well, but raced very well!

Looked to be an issue with the left front suspensions on a number of the Mustangs. Dorsey stated it was a tie-rod issue.

It was nice to see Jack Roush in the pits as well! Seemed a little tough for our Rehagen guys . . . 13th, 20th, & 27th. They seemed affected by the suspension issue . . . . if it was an issue. Better luck next time!

The tie-rods were only an issue on the mustangs in so much as people kept bashing into them, lol. Jack Jr. and a Porsche got tangled up, and it bent the crap out of the left side tie-rod, then it sent the car off track to the right and into a wall, bashing up the right side of the car . . . That brought out the first yellow. Ironically, we got a penalty for pitting while the pit lane was closed for our a full course yellow that the same car caused. Anyway, even with the bent car, Dean was still turning lap times to rival the leaders, and made up a lot of ground, but because of the time to repair the tie-rod, we were a long way down with that car.

Thanks for the inside information! There did seem to be a fair amount of banging during the course of the race.
