IMSA and SCCA Mustang question
IMSA and SCCA Mustang question
Hello there
Can someone help me? Looking for specifications (hp, torque, dry weight) of the 1991 Robby Gordon Roush Mustang (GTO), the 1993 Tom Kendall Roush Mustang (GTO) and the 1997 Kendall Trans AM racer.
BTW, that Fajardo Mustang from Puerto Rico. Are the specs available somewhere?
Thanks

I don't have any actual specs, but the Fajardo car was built by Tony Ave Racing. I want to say that it was built on an ex-Roush TA chassis, but I can't verify that. Not sure how much the rules differ in PR, but the base weight for a 358-powered GT-1 car in SCCA is 2880 lbs, and the engine should make well north of 800 hp. Speaking of SCCA GT-1, Denny Lamers and Cliff Ebben (Defending National Champ) will be running the new cars at the Runoffs this year at Road America. I should have some more info or at least some crappy cell phone paddock pics for you in about a month.
Got a few pics of Cliff and Denny's cars last weekend. They run at 2940 lbs with a 358. There also seems to be some question about the legality of the bodywork, but Cliff (the car with blue stripes) came in a very strong 2nd behind Mike Lewis in his Jag.
