I guess this proves that white mustangs are the fastest ones. Too bad they are the least favorite color

BRAD,

It appears that a Grand-AM Cup Series race will be held in Birmingham Alabama at Barber Motorsports Park the weekend of July 29-31. I would be willing to travel from St. Louis, MO to see this race. May be we need to see if there is any interest in a TMS gathering at this event.

I already have plans to be there with my father and brother. We could definitely get something together.

That's the Rolex Series Ken; I don't think we'll see the '05s.

Thanks for the information regarding the winner. I too thought the #5 was a 2004. And thanks for the pictures!

...tears of joy

its great, a return to the "race on sunday, sell on monday" philosohpy

is all i can do right now

for 06 we HAVE to get gold as a color! change them clack stripes to red maybe hehehe

im so happpy now, you dont even know. now more than ever do i think the 60's n 70's are returning
You are absolutely right! That picture of the Multimatic mustang leading the BMW M3 reminds me of the old footage of Parnelli Jones in the Boss Mustangs whipping the Camaros in the early 70's trans am series. Parnelli and Jerry Titus would be proud to see the 05 Mustang on the track.

I'm curious: did the two Stangs finish overall first -- as in, the very first two cars to cross the finish line, or just first in the GS class? Either way, it's a dream come true!

Oh, and ditto 9ers request: is it at all possible to upload the race? Okay, it's 24 hours long, but how about the last couple minutes? Just when they're crossing the line? Please?

Thanks.

They had to make the pace car a GTO since that's the only way one will be in front of a Mustang on the race track!

Just a couple of things. First, where's Rhumb when you need him? Second, where did all the pics come from?

Yeah, it's pretty amazing that the Mustang with the SRA beat all those cars with the IRS. B)

That pic with the M3 behind our beloved one, its gold. Just look at the standings, porsches and M3s everywhere, but those stangs still came out on top with their "stone age live axle set up". pshhh, whatevah!!

Are you serious?!?

The Ford Motorsports Racing Pony has a live axle setup? Schweet!!!
Do have any links to that? I'd love to rub it in the faces of a few Ford h8r's on a certain "techie" forum I frequent....* cough (Anandtech)...
