2024 Daytona 500

I say the Roger Penske cars are looking good. Brad K. is always good at Daytona. Not sure if the Stewart-Haas team can race well.

Ford has won 2 of the last 3 races at Daytona, Can they make it 3 of 4?

Im a 12 fan, but I think they're effed, at least for a while this season. That car doesn't draft or push anything like the last one, and NASCAR will definitely be throwing caution and penalties for the Ford's like you've not seen in a while.

If it isn't raining, I'll watch it. At least until I fall asleep. I really haven't followed NASCAR recently. Any female drivers anymore?? If not, that would be a step in the right direction. Any nooses found in the garages? OK, I'll stop.

I have nooses like that all over the place, around here. I call them handles. Makes it easier to hold on to ropes with arthritic fingers when you are pulling on them

I like the #12 car as well. Ryan is the 2023 Champion.

The advertising was relentless. I couldnt watch it. I think there were more commercials than racing.

I used to like superspeedway racing pre-restrictor plate. NASCAR decided to slow them down (especially Bill Elliott) and now it's just a snoozefest until the "Big One" happens and takes out 2/3 of the field. I much prefer road racing now.

It was insane. I recorded it as there was no way to sit through it. Then the boring ending was so perfect for this rained out event. "Who won? Nascar will have to review." ZZZzzzzz.... Only a Toyota win would have topped it all off. The fans in attendance must have been as thrilled as the TV viewers. Looks like I won't be watching again this year other than a few, like Talladega, Darlington, and the Firecracker 400 on July 4th or whatever they call it these days.
