I purchased the ultimate Zaino kit and am going to use on the Mustang this weekend. I am pretty certain of how to use everything in the kit. My only question is do I really need to use the Z5 step considering the car is brand new and white?

 

Maybe not, but it doesn't hurt to use 1 coat of Z5 with two coats of Z2. There are probably a few swirl marks etc.... Plus, you don't want to do through all of your Z2. Using some Z5 will make the kit last longer. Its all wax anyway.

 

If you don't have any swirls, you don't HAVE to use Z5....Z2pro has higher optical properties than Z5 hence most folks prefer Z2pro for the final coat. Did you happen to pick up a bottle of Z8 spray seal yet? Do it and be shocked at how silky smooth and glossy your Mustang will become.

My Mustangs are swirl free, but I will throw a coat of Z5 in there about every 4-5 coats for good measure. Your Mustang owners with the darker paint colors will use more Z5 than you will.

Yeah Im a little disapointed that it wasnt in the kit.

I just ordered 72 bucks worth of towels to dry, sheepskin mit, poilishing towels, final spray towels. to complement the Zaino package.
