just wondering those who have used Zaino how much did it take to do 1 coat ? ( Z2) I used almost 2 oz. and i'm wondering if that was to much? My car is screaming yellow if that makes a difference!

The first couple of times I used Z2, I applied it using a 100% cotton towel cut up (about 6x6"). This method used about 2oz (one of the Zfx mixing bottles full). This was after doing a clay barring.

After multiple coats using the above method, I tried using the applicator pad sprayed lightly with Z6, then put a circular squirt on the pad. And this way only used just over 1 oz. I think the Z6 really helped spread the Z2.

The pad worked very well, much better then the cotton towel. I thought it would absorb the Z2 but it didn't seem too.

That 2oz could do your Mustang twice. Sometimes I use even less than 1oz on a really light coat.

less is more with zaino... the sales guy himself said just put enough on it that you can see it being covered. If you cake it on, you are not getting better results, just wasting product.

The applicator pads that came with my kit really helped out

Yep I agree on the applicator pads as well as the spray of Z6, which I think helped spread it even thinner.

I didn't like wasting the Z6, they said the car soap/water solution was ok as well, so that is what I used.

If you do not want to spritz your applicator with Z6, you may use water..or..you can cut a bottle of Z6 50/50 with distilled water to make the product last longer as well. Dark color Mustangs would benefit from this as well in the summer heat, where Z6 may dry to quickly and streak.

I think I got the feel for the use of Zaino no. I think I went on too heavy to start, not after the 4th or 5th coat I got it down pat. Not sure on older mustangs, but the S197 is real easy to wax/polish imo. more smooth lines than any car Ive owned.

Love the water beads!
