The wife was taking the stang out this morning while backing up she scraped the car on a ceramic pot next to our driveway. located way down behind pass side front tire. a few small scratches about 1/4" wide by 4" long but beyond rubbing out, or claybar. it will need paint, what do you guys thing that would cost me, couple hundred to fix. paint is redfire.

thanks for the help.

Sam

Tough one to call. I really depends on where you take it. It might be easier to guess a price if you posted a pic of it.

Well first of all, a claybar will do nothing for a scratch. If rubbing will not get it out (i am assuming you mean just with a cloth or something) you should get Meguiars Scratch X and put it on and really buff hard with a foam applicator. It might help, and it is way cheaper and worth a shot.

I figure $5-10 for a sledge hammer to break up the pot and 10-20 years for murder. j/k, on the murder thing anyway.

I agree, try a scratch & swirl remover and alot of elbow grease .. that doesnt look like its through the paint.

In that spot it's going to really depend upon where you take it. If they only charge you to refinish your fender, you could get out of it for as little as $175. If they charge you to remove/install your front bumper, headlight, etc. and blend your right door it could run as high as $400.
Hope that helps.
