What are you guys using for wax?
Meguiar's Ultimate series, and yes.
The theory goes that you want to give the paint enough time to cure before waxing. Otherwise you are effectively preventing the paint job from fully off-gassing and curing.

I ordered their sample kit and will give it a shot.
Remember the body's were painted a week before they finished production. By the time my car arrives it will be almost seven weeks so I'm not going to worry about it. I would think the paint would cure fully within 30 days if not sooner.

Built Feb 22; delivered Mar 29. Only now thinking of the first wax. Got the oil changed yesterday(bought the 5W-50 from parts dept: $7.50/QT). Oil change cost $19+ when I provided the oil. BTW, it was very dark after 1745 miles. Recommend you change it if you seated the rings properly.
In fact, I believe the owners manual makes mention of immediately being able to wax.

Moved to the "Car care" section.
I use Pinnacle and Klasse combo this year. Have also used Zaino and Wolfgang. They just last longer and look better than the cheaper stuff (ie: Meguiars).
As for waiting 2 months I don't think that applies to a new car. Different paint process. If you just had your car in at a body shop and had it painted then toss a layer of glaze on it at least but from factory go right ahead and wax it the day you get it.

As for waxing the decals, unless they are flat black, yes you should put a coat of wax on them. Premium vinyl in most cases has a 7 year warranty/life expectancy. After than they can become brittle, fade, crack, etc. Also by waxing over them you help put a protective layer along the edges. For those of you that use power washers on your vehicles, never hit the edge of the vinyl at an angle as you can lift/damage a corner.
