Wax

Well I dont believe it. I got a some bling bling for my baby and got it all modded. I thought to my self all I have to do is wax it with some Maguires nxt, and all will be great; I can take some pic's and post them.

NOT

Granted I was hung over when I applied the wax and it was the first time I every waxed a car.

But I cant get the wax off.

Any suggestions any one, please

rewash the car with Dawn dish detergent (the high alkaline content will help disolve the wax) and try waxing again when you are sober. Please note: do not use Dawn for routine car washing, but in an instance like this one time won't hurt your paint. When you rewax - apply sparingly!

Moved to the car care section.

Well it doesn't look like you provided a lot of information in this topic (perhaps you are still hung over). Seeing it was your first time waxing a car I have to ask some basic questions.

Was the car cool to the touch when you waxed it? By chance did you apply the wax in direct sunlight? What type of towel (cotton or microfiber) are you using to remove the wax? How thick of a coat of wax did you apply?

I have never seen wax not come off which is why I asked those questions. regardless of how thick you apply it, it will come off. It just takes more elbow grease.

Thank you for the advice. I did start and tried to finish the job in the garage so no direct sun, I did know that much, the car was cool to the touch. I guess I wrote in haste and appeared like a complete tool. I discovered that the NEW wax products are not like the old ones. I applied too much so really it took a few days of buffing to get it off. I really did not know to apply in such a thin layer, but I do.
It has been buffed off with a little help of some muscle and yes the Stang Muscle kind.

I was so use to the old wax application on Dad's F250 back in the day, I applied too much, and yes I still have some in the bottle.

thanks guys I hope you got a giggle of my Noobness.

nxt 2.0 liquid is what I use, and as long as you put on a thinner coat, it wipes off with little effort. the noobness is fine, you gotta learn somewhere, right? I know I didnt do so well my first time using wax.
