Water Spots/Trails
#1
Okay, I finally got to clean the new car and I found old dried water trails running from the hood scoop down to the front bumper. I tried wash, polish, wax, quick detailer, etc. Any advice??

I can't believe I didn't think of that. Jeez!!!! Thanks for the info.
Now, which one to buy. I think Meguiars has a clay bar. I'll need to get back to my old ways.
1. Wash
2. Claybar
3. Wash again
4. Polish (Meguiars)
5. NXT Wax (Meguiars again)
I was stationed in Iceland too long and lost my way.

Yep, they do have a claybar.
Meguiar’s Quik Clay Detailing System safely restores a smooth-as-glass feel to your paint by removing bonded contaminants from the surface. The clay bar safely traps and lifts-off contaminants as you lubricate the surface with Quik Detailer (included).
G-1116 ..........16 oz. (473 ml) $9.99

I'm glad I could bring you back to your old ways. I've never used a claybar before, but from what I had read I figured it probably would work. Let us know how it works!

I picked up a Mothers Clay Bar, couldn't find a Meguiars one. I also picked up Step 2 Meguiars Polish. I won't be able to work on the car until Friday but I am taking the day off, I see alot of detailing happening on Friday.
