Washing your Mustang in the Fall and Winter

Hi, my name is Brian, and I'm a Wash-a-Holic. I can't help it. I am sure I have washed my Mustang at least 70 times during the first 100 days of ownership. Is this sick and twisted, or is it pure and natural?

I used to wash it once a week in the fall but the weather in Nor Cal has been horrible lately so I haven't washed it since Christmas Eve. If it's nice this weekend I will probably wash it because it is really dirty. Not to mention my neighbor's gardener mowed their front lawn yesterday and got mud and grass all over the passenger side of my car. So it really needs a bath.
But to answer your question, it is pure and natural. But odds are it will rain 2 hours after I wash it again just like it did on Christmas Eve. :bang:

High my name is Mike and I'm a washaholic. I noticed I was afflicted with this terrible disease the first week I had my car. My wife tried an intervention when she noticed the house and yard becoming a mess. She started getting even more worried when she would occasionaly see me sittin there staring at it in the garage. Finally she sent me to rehab but that did not work either so here I am.
Thanks for listening....................

During the winter months I don’t get the mustangs out that much but once week I go out to the carriage house and wash them if they need it or not. My family thinks that is a little obsessive they refer to me as Mr. OCD.

I gave her a complete wash, wax, the whole nine yards before it got cold. If its ever warm enough I go give her a quick rinse. But I'll wait until it warms up again to go back to my old OCD self

I put a nice thick coat of NXT Tech wax on mine back in August and it sat in my dad's garage except for a couple quick spins (and I mean 5 minutes tops) on sunny days by him. So it really doesn't need washed. He dusts it off for me every weekend.
I had to park it there after the apartment complex I live in 45 miles away damaged it. Just haven't had time to go drive it with work and moving.
But she's clean as can be none the less. Now during summer it when she's out a bit more I wash my car almost every week no matter if she needs it or not.

I live in the greater Seattle area and it has been raining for a month straight :bang: Last Thursday the rain stopped for a short while so I decieded to was my car, well it started raining before I finished. So here I am washing my car in the rain as all my neighbors are just getting home from work. Oh well at least it was clean for a couple hours.

Today marks the 1st time I didnt wash her in a week! Usually twice a week. Basically after any rain/snow. This is the longest I can go. Starting to get little spots here and there, and dusty. Too much for my liking to use a quick detail, and being some is salt dust dont want to use my california duster at this point.
Raining this weekend, so after its over I will wash her up.
Best thing is I get payed to wash it on slow days at work.

OK, I think I've gone over the deep end now. Yesterday, I just washed my exhaust pipes. Arguably for photos, but boy-o-boy:

I try and wash mine once a week weather permitting. I really don't drive it that much and my wife says why are you washing the car it isn't dirty. I just reply, yep and I want to keep it the way.
One of these days I will have to put a coat of wax on it. It has never seen wax since I bought it.
